Day 17

We started the day by traveling to Kyoto.
I tried a Fuji Apple from a local supermarket
We wanted to visit an Onsen, a traditional Japanese bathhouse but found that all the private exclusive ones in the mountains were for overnight stays. Avi found one that had a day pass which we unassumingly thought would be the same experience. It was not.
Luckily for the readers of the blog, no phones were allowed in the bathhouse. This was a local, modern bathhouse. Avi and I were the only two tourists in a facility of over 100 naked Japanese men. We used the sauna, Ice baths, warm baths, and traditional hot baths which flowed with water from the natural spring in Kyoto. It was definitely a unique experience
After that, we traveled to the Nishiki market
We spent a while in a coffee shop there trying to plan out where we would stay. We decided to go to the Chabad of Kyoto to ask what they recommended
We ended up staying in a guesthouse Avi had originally found
