Wicked (2024)

Honestly there were times it felt like a two and a half star movie. There were others it felt like a 4 and 1/2 star movie. I was gonna end it on a 3 but then those last 8 minutes or so are just really really great. Really ends on a bang. 
Cynthia has unreal vocals. Ariana was a joy. Haven’t seen the musical or read the book so this was my first exposure to the story. Some thoughts:

1) The wicked witch is actually good and Oz and Glinda are actually bad?
2) There’s real religious allegory here with Oz
3) SHIZ hahah what 
4) had no idea about the whole animal abuse side plot

Overall fun time at the movies. I love musicals
