He's an incredibly talented director but again, I think he's digging WAY too much into the Wes aesthetic we've come to expect of him. As creative and singular as he is, I think he's trapped himself into an artistic box and I wish he broke free and made movies that feel more unrestricted. Go back to moonrise kingdom or fantastic mr fox or royal tenenbaums and you feel more of a creative experimenting with his craft and having fun. This one, and the past few, follow the Wes Anderson aesthetic and execution template to a T.
I still love him and all his work and I don't think anyone can or will ever do it like him but I want him to break free of his self imposed mold and start surprising me again.
