The End of Oak Street 2026

Really really enjoyed. Felt like I was also teleported back in time to 80s moviemaking. The family tension felt spielbergian, the split diopter shots like de Palma. Heck we even had a score from Giacchino that sounded like John Williams. (Would have been super successful if it was released in the 80s too. Hopefully a bunch of people see it)
Anne Hathaway was incredible here, Ewan McGregor was fine (maybe miscast) and the two unknown child actors were pretty great.
Masterclass in tension and in slowly revealing the stakes and plot over the course of the first half hour. A fun time at a summer movie.
