High School Musical (2006)

This era of Disney channel was so wholesome.
This really brought on the nostalgia. There was a good amount of time that this was my favorite movie. I remember reading behind the scenes, knowing the lyrics by heart and watching it over and over.
It's honestly our 21st century grease but the message is so much better. The protagonists dont have to give up their passions and identities to join their partners'. It's about staying true to who you are and knowing that you can have interests that don't fit the status quo.
Listen maybe its a 3 and a half but it honestly is a well made movie and again, the nostalgia is pushing my hand here. But, the child actors honestly did a lot with what was given and that really is saying something when you look at what I'm sure is on Disney channel these days.
