Dazed and Confused (1993)

The inspiration of American Graffiti is real clear but American Graffiti wishes it could be this fun. Linklater has got the SAUCE.
Saw a lot of the elements of Everybody wants some in this but honestly i just had a better time with EWS. Maybe its a plot thing; honestly WTF kind of a school has a spanking ritual at the end of the year that was kind of nuts

Linklater should have carte blanche with all music and not have to pay a dime - hilarious and awesome that 1/4 of the budget was spent on song rights
