Cold War (2018)

Powerful powerful stuff. Loved every minute of this
Sometimes, with the framing, it felt like a Wes Anderson movie. Sometimes, with the plot and focus on the female perspective it felt like I was watching an Agnes Varda (Cleo from 5 to 7). Other times, with the Jazz and the love story it felt like a more mature version of La La Land. Reminded me of the forbidden love and all-consuming romantic ambience of Elvira Madigan.
What I'm trying to say is this movie combines some of my all time favorite movies and filmmaking techniques.
Gonna go high on my list of black and white movies to recommend to people to get them into black and white.
