American Psycho (2000)

Maybe one of the most self-assured movies I've ever seen. The feeling I got throughout was that the director knew she was directing a classic. Every iconic scene felt iconic, the set design, location shots, cinematography, lighting, acting. Everything was well done and also exactly as it needed to be for the message of the movie. Just a really unsettling movie. Obviously with tons of messaging about the 90s soulless wall street yuppies and about American capitalism as a whole, but wrapped around a psycho thriller. Neat
